A variety of choices which include, vegetarian, vegan, healthy sandwiches and salads and of course burgers, fries and burritos, along with speical weekly items. Offer friendly support and welcome to the campus.How does your service/office/non-instructional program support students in: a. Completing their program/educational goal? b. Is there more that it can do?We are here to offerfood items and beverages including healthy nutritous options that can help the students start their day and keep their brain and body optimized and energized to keep the students going. Those who do work with us learn many skills that are transferable skills wich they can use in their future careers. They lear the importance or being a responsible, reliable employee. Customer services skills and patience in a high pace setting.Our staff is here to listen to our students.We often hear stories from the students and can often help by directing them or connecting them to a department that can help them further in what they may need or are looking for.Based on the mission of your service/office/non-instructional program, describe how you offer 'equitable services' to different student groups at Ĵý?Our department is open to helping, hiring and assiting any student that is willing and able to work. We provide the same quality of service to anyone who steps in to our Grill, we are here to serve the students and any member of the community who may also want to benifit from the Grilles meals.Describe the services that your program/service/office has offered to the Disproportionately Impacted (DI) student groups outlined in the 2020-21AY Summary of the Strategic Plan, which includes: American Indian/Alaskan Native, Foster Youth, Hawaiian /Pacific Islander, and/or Some other race.Our student workers and staff provide service to a diverse number of individuals whether they are students, staff, or visitors. They are taught to treat everyone respectfully and equally the same as we are all in Hartnell for the same purpose, to focus on the education and workforce development needs of the students. We serve everyone and anyone that comes to our establishments.Please describe any equity gaps that were not identified and/or discussed in the questions above, based on your experiences at Hartnell.N/ASERVICE AREA OUTCOMESPlease describe any meaningful outcomes that have been achieved from the SAOs outlined in the prior academic year.Having the student workers rotate in different areas within the grill allows them to learn and obtain different skills within the workforce, from opening and prepping, to customer service. We have had the opportunity to see a few of our students graduate and transfer to a four year and leave our college wth skills and work experience. We have had a few students return to work at the Grille.Did the activities from the prior academic year, and any subsequent dialog lead to significant change in the effectiveness and/or efficiency of this service/office/non-instructional program during the current academic year? Please describe any resources that may help/have helped you overcome these challenges.We've seen an impact and a boost of moral with our students when we are able to help the students with their needs, wether it be flexability with their schedule, assiting with navigating through the campus, and even helping them with how to use certain programs that they are unfamiliar with to further help with their homwork or personal needs.What factors and/or challenges have influenced the effectiveness of your service/office/non-instructional program (e.g. staffing, equipment, facilities, etc.) over the last three academic years?The ability to find dependable and responsible student workers has been quite a challange. While we work with our students and are very flixible with them and their schedules, it does present a challange with providing the same level of quality and service to the campus on a daily basis. With an influx of customers from being shut down in 2020 and part of 2021, our staff and student workers have been adjusting to the new norm and pace of things here on campus.
