We are responsible for sharing and disseminating data about the core student core outcomes in Strategic Plan 2019-2024: completion, completion efficiency, transfer, and employment.The focus of our planning and effectiveness initiatives are student centered. We developed a document that links the big four student success goals with the four institutional priorities and a wide range of college redesigns in varied stages of design, development, and implementation. This document speaks to Hartnell increasingly becoming a student-centered institution.Together with key faculty and a task force, IPRE leads the student-centric participatory governance redesign that at the time of this writing is close to being implemented after a several year process of engaging various internal stakeholders at the institution.In research processes we protect the confidentiality and integrity of research subjects.We include student representation from ASHC in our initiatives and governance bodies as feasible.How does your service/office/non-instructional program support students in: a. Completing their program/educational goal? b. Completing their program on time? Is there more that it can do?IPRE supports students by providing the data and supporting the campus constituencies to access tools that relate to the completion of courses and program. We provide the data on degree completion and time and units to completion.We participate regularly in and provide leadership for the maintenance of institutional accreditation and the documentation of continuous improvement on student success goals and related matters.We will continue to participate in and help lead College Redesign/Guided Pathways, whose primary goals are to increase degree completion and reduce time and units to completion.Based on the mission of your service/office/non-instructional program, describe how you offer 'equitable services' to different student groups at Ĵý?We make sure that students of all backgrounds are addressed in the different institutional surveys and studies that we administer, space permitting for the various demographic items.We have built multiple dashboards that allow for review of varied student achievement outcomes at institutional, program, and course levels.We are beginning to embed equity into job descriptions and the overall structure of the IPRE office.Describe the services that your program/service/office has offered to the Disproportionately Impacted (DI) student groups outlined in the 2020-21AY Summary of the Strategic Plan, which includes: American Indian/Alaskan Native, Foster Youth, Hawaiian /Pacific Islander, and/or Some other race.N/AAre there any Disproportionately Impacted (DI) groups that are currently NOT being served by your program/office/service? Please describe any resources that may help/have helped you overcome these challenges.N/AWhat factors and/or challenges have influenced the effectiveness of your service/office/non-instructional program (e.g. staffing, equipment, facilities, etc.) over the last three academic years?In the past 2.5 years, IPRE has lost both multiple staff and positions from a total of 7 filled, full-time positions down to 3 full-time positions that currently includes 1 vacancy. Many of the now unfunded positions had previously been funded entirely or largely through the general fund, which had in some cases taken several years to move progressively off of grant funding. Overall staffing is presently down to the level that was experienced in the early years of the IPE office as it existed prior to the centralization of the IR function, but the responsibilities have not been reduced and rather have expanded even after IR was centralized with IPRE to include critically important work, most notably, college redesign/guided pathways.The cumulative staff reductions have had a substantial adverse impact on our priorities, but will ultimately have an even greater deleterious impact on our ability to move the needle on institutional effectiveness over the long term.
